100% Chance of Showers

Wedding season is quickly approaching and this year my niece is going to be a bride. My sister and I are hosting a wedding shower for her so I have been searching for just the right games to play and food to serve. Then I remembered...shoot! I should probably send out invitations! Duh! My pulchritudiness alone is not going to get them there. Great word. The first time my Dad told me I was full of pulchritude I cried thinking he was insulting me. You have to admit, it doesn't sound like it would mean anything good.

So.....I love this set from My Favorite Things because you can use it for any type of shower except the ones that require water. A little coloring with Copic markers (Yay our order came in!)and some glitter and that is all the coloring it needs. The paper is from Bo Bunny and I used a Martha Stewart lace border punch to make the card even more girly. I hope my niece likes it.

If you have any good bridal shower games to play, let me know. The funnier, the better.

  1. You did an awesome job on the invites Leslie. I will put my thinking cap on and let you know if I come up with any fun games. Love your new blog. Its so you!!

  2. I am going to have to get one of Martha's borders. They dress up the cards so well.

  3. Hi - I had a couple of nephews get married last year & at both showers they played this game that was so entertaining for all the guests. Someone interviewed the groom to be on a video camera & asked him questions about 20 questions about various things. At the shower, unknown to the bride they popped in the video. They would play the video of the groom & the question that was asked of him. Then hit pause so that the bride could answer the question & then see if her answer matched the groom. If the bride got the answer wrong she had to put a stick of gum in her mouth. Each incorrect answer added another stick of gum to her mouth. It was hilarious & we all learned a few things about the couple getting married!!
